This Help section will show you how to use the various features of this course. Open this Help from anywhere in the course by selecting the Help button at the bottom right of the course window.

To learn how to navigate this course, select the Next button (to the right). You can return to the course at any time by selecting the X in the top right corner of this box.

There are two ways to navigate this course. The Next and Back buttons let you go backward or forward one page at a time.

The Table of Contents menu at the top of the screen lets you view lessons and topics and return to areas of the course you've already visited.

Select a lesson to view a list of the topics within it. Lessons you've visited appear darker, and the current topic appears lighter.
The first time through the course, you can view the table of contents, but you will not be able to skip ahead.
After you complete a topic, you can return to it at any time by selecting it from the menu.

Your progress through the course is tracked. If you must leave at any time, don't worry—you will be taken back to the same screen when you return.

The audio player allows you to control the voiceover narration of the page you are currently on. Your audio player control may appear differently depending on your browser.

Play – Pause and play the narration.
Seek bar – Select and drag along the bar to jump to a specific spot in the audio track.

If you are unable to listen to the audio or would like to read along with the narration, you can enable an on-screen audio transcript by selecting the Transcript button.

The transcript will appear in a scrollable window. Select Transcript again to disable the transcript.

Parts of this course feature video. The video player controls are detailed in the example image to the right. These controls may appear differently depending on your browser.

You may need to place your mouse over, or touch, the video area to see these controls. You can move to any part of the video by selecting and dragging the progress indicator forward or backward along the progress bar.

All videos in this course are required. You will not be able to move forward in the course until the full video on that page has been viewed.

The Resources button appears when additional learning tools like printable documents or web links are provided.

Documents are downloaded to your computer or tablet in PDF format. Make sure you have the appropriate software to view these.
Websites open in a new browser window. Simply close the new window to return to the course.

To ensure that external web links and other course resources work correctly, you may need to configure your web browser to allow pop-ups. Instructions for allowing pop-ups using the major browsers are listed below.

Internet Explorer

Press Alt on your keyboard to open the menu bar if it is not visible.
Select Tools > Pop-up Blocker > Turn off Pop-up Blocker (if it is on).

Mozilla Firefox

Select Firefox menu > Options > Content tab.
Uncheck Block pop-up windows.

Google Chrome

Select Chrome menu > Settings > Show advanced settings.
Under the Privacy section, select Content settings.
Select Allow all sites to show pop-ups.

Instructions for turning off pop-up blockers in Safari and Android browsers can be found on the next page.

To ensure that external web links and other course resources work correctly, you may need to configure your web browser to allow pop-ups. Instructions for allowing pop-ups using the major browsers are listed below.

Safari

Open the Settings menu on your Home screen.
Select the Safari tab on the Settings page to load the Safari preferences screen.
Scroll down the page to the Security section.
Slide the Block Pop-Ups switch to the Off position.
Select the Home button to return to your Home screen.

Android

In the browser, select the Menu button.
Select Settings and then select Advanced.
Uncheck the box for Block pop-ups.

You can increase the size of the text in this course by changing the font display standard in your web browser. Instructions for increasing font size using the major browsers are listed below.

Internet Explorer

Press Alt on your keyboard to open the menu bar if it is not visible.
Select View > Text Size > Larger (or Largest).

Mozilla Firefox

Select Firefox menu > Options > Content tab.
Under the Fonts & Colors section, select a larger Size.

Google Chrome

Select Chrome menu > Settings > Show advanced settings.
Under the Web content section, select a larger Font size.

To increase the text size on tablets or other mobile devices, either double tab or use pinch on the screen to zoom in or out.

The License button appears on the first and last pages of the course. Select it to download a document containing licensing and disclaimer information about the course.
