CSA Program Overview
As a professional driver, you may be familiar with the FMCSA's CSA program. CSA stands for:
Compliance
Safety
Accountability
The CSA system monitors drivers and carriers to ensure compliance with safety regulations. It seeks to identify and address safety problems before they lead to tragedies.
As a professional driver, you may have been operating under the FMCSA’s CSA program for some time.
CSA, which stands for Compliance, Safety, Accountability, is a driver and carrier monitoring and evaluation system that is designed to identify and intervene with drivers and carriers who are not in compliance with safety regulations.
Simply put, CSA is a system used by the FMCSA to identify safety problems early so that they can be addressed before they lead to tragedies on the highway.
This Help section will show you how to use the various features of this course. Open this Help from anywhere in the course by selecting the Help button at the bottom right of the course window.

There are two ways to navigate this course. The Next and Back buttons let you go backward or forward one page at a time.
The Table of Contents menu at the top of the screen lets you view lessons and topics and return to areas of the course you've already visited.
Your progress through the course is tracked. If you must leave at any time, don't worry—you will be taken back to the same screen when you return.

The transcript will appear in a scrollable window. Select Transcript again to disable the transcript.
