CMV Driver Basics

Course Length: 50 minutes

Overview: This online training is designed to help your learners meet the current training requirements for entry-level CMV drivers (49 CFR Part 380, Subpart E) and covers the following topics: Driver Qualification, Driver Wellness, Introduction to Hours of Service, and Whistleblower Protection. To comply with the regulatory requirements, you must also provide detailed Hours of Service training (as regulated under 49 CFR Part 395) based on the type of CMV (property- or passenger-carrying) your drivers will be operating.

It is the responsibility of the trainer and the trainer's company to determine and verify a student's competency. If you're looking for a product to satisfy the current Entry-Level Driver Training regulations which also includes a certificate that adheres to the entry-level recordkeeping requirements found in 49 CFR 380.513, please enroll your learners in the CMV Entry Level Driver Training Curriculum. Upon completion of both courses in the curriculum, the learner will be issued the required certificate. (This same certificate is also available for purchase on JJKeller.com here: https://www.jjkeller.com/shop/Product/Entry-Level-Driver-Training-Certificate).
