Intended Audience: The MSHA Part 46 2021 Refresher (8-Hour) is intended for all those who have completed new miner training or newly employed, experienced miner training within the last 12 months. Individuals who will specifically benefit from this course include the following:
- Miners
- Supervisors

- Mine operators
- Miner's representatives
- Contractors/Subcontractors
- Please note that this course is not intended for the following individuals:
- First-time miners by MSHA standards
- Those seeking to fulfill MSHA Title 30, Part 48 training requirements
Overview: The MSHA Part 46 2021 Refresher (8-Hour) course is designed to address the need within mining operations for workers to maintain a high level of both focus and safety at all times. The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) requires yearly refresher training for miners working in surface mines, and this course provides that comprehensive overview.
PLEASE NOTE: The training is only applicable to the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Title 30, Part 46 regulations for non-coal surface mining. This training does not fulfill Part 48 training requirements. Please contact the mine you are planning to enter to ensure whether you must complete Part 46 or Part 48 training.

The MSHA Part 46 2021 Refresher (8-Hour) training is designed to cover all essential topics as they pertain to surface mine safety and health standards. Throughout the course, participants can expect to learn the following:
