Forklifts: Ultimate Hazard Perception Challenge (Basic), the first in a series of three courses (basic, intermediate, and advanced) will develop hazard perception skills to help operators recognize potential hazards in any situation and keep themselves, and others, safe.
After viewing this program, learners will be able to:
- Better anticipate, identify, and appropriately react to forklift hazards in the workplace
- Recognize and apply best practices when operating a forklift under any circumstances
- Avoid dangerous activities and mistakes when operating a forklift

- Pre-shift inspections
- Following distance
- Use of seatbelts
- Use of horn
- Use of cell phone
- Awareness of surroundings
- Use of PPE while working on forklift battery
- Backing up with regular or standup forklifts
- Dangerous passing
- Keeping parts of the body within the forklift frame
- Elevated forks hazards
- Driving too fast
- Use of the wrong type of forklift
- Use of PPE with high-rise forklift
