Overview: A forklift is a powered, mechanical device that is used to move or lift loads. Although this seems like a simple task, forklifts can cause serious injury or death if they are misused or if the operator isn't properly trained on how to use the equipment safely.

Forklift Training: Equipment Basics is designed to help you choose the right forklift for the job and understand its limitations, protecting yourself and your coworkers from the potential hazards associated with its use.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

  • Identify the various kinds of forklifts and their basic controls
  • Discuss the center of gravity and stability triangle concepts
