Slips & Trips: Workplace Safety

This title incorporates necessary changes based on OSHA's "Walking-Working Surfaces" rule published November 18, 2016.

Course Length:Ā 30 minutes

Overview: The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that in 2015, falls, slips, and trips accounted for nearly 240,000 non-fatal injuries and 800 fatal work-related injuries. It is because of statistics like this that OSHA maintains general industry regulations on walking-working surfaces that guard against hazards. Employers must train employees to recognize and avoid unsafe conditions that can potentially harm anyone in the workplace, regardless of title or job responsibilities.

This online course is designed to help learners recognize and avoid slip and trip hazards. It will also teach them to take the proper measures to ensure their safety and the safety of others in the workplace.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

  • Recognize the difference between slips and trips and what causes each of them to occur
