Non-CDL Driver Training: Basic Controls is designed to help CMV drivers understand basic vehicle controls and maneuvers.

Objectives:

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

  • Discuss how to start up and shut down your vehicle’s engine
  • Describe how to put your vehicle in motion and come to a complete stop
  • Identify ways to maneuver through turns, curves, and roundabouts, and enter/exit highways safely
