Intended Audience: Any learner who is in need of remedial training related to dry van cargo securement
Overview: This training is designed to provide learners with remedial training related to dry van cargo securement. Specifically, this course was designed to remind drivers to verify proper cargo distribution and securement, know they are responsible for the load, add securement devices and inspect them, and take responsibility for securement even if the load was sealed.
Objectives
After completing this course, learners will be able to:
- Explain why cargo must be secured in a dry van
- Identify who is responsible for cargo securement
- Determine when added securement is necessary
- Describe what to do if the load was sealed
