Corrective Action Training: Overhead and Underside Clearance

Intended Audience: Any learner who is in need of remedial training related to identifying overhead and underside clearance limits
Overview: This training is designed to provide learners with remedial training related to overhead and underside clearances. Specifically, this course was designed to remind drivers to scan for obstructions, identify the size of their vehicle, get out and look for obstructions, and take caution with clearance signs.
Objectives
After completing this course, learners will be able to:
- List overhead and underside objects most commonly struck by CMVs
- Explain how to identify the size of their vehicle
- Describe when to Get Out And Look (GOAL)
- Determine what to do when a clearance sign shows a measurement close to their vehicle size
