Intended Audience: Any learner who is in need of remedial training related to flatbed cargo securement
Overview: This Corrective Action Training module is designed to provide learners with remedial training related to cargo securement on flatbed trailers. Specifically, this course was designed to remind drivers they are responsible for securing all cargo, verifying securement before driving and at regular intervals during the trip, using the correct number of tiedowns and inspecting securement devices for damage.
Objectives
After completing this course, learners will be able to:
- Identify who is responsible for cargo securement
- Explain when cargo and securement devices must be inspected
- Describe the minimum tiedown requirements
- Determine when damaged securement devices must be replaced
