Intended Audience: Any learner who is in need of remedial training related to common issues of noncompliance when using lockout/tagout procedures.
Overview: This Corrective Action Training module was designed to remind employees the release of stored energy or unexpected startup can cause severe injury or death to workers.
Objectives
After completing this course, learners will be able to:
- Understand the relationship between the Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout) Standard and the Machinery and Machine Guarding Standard
- Identify who is responsible for following an energy control program
- Explain group lockout/tagout procedures
- Describe what could happen if all hazardous energy sources are not identified and controlled
