Intended Audience: Drivers who are applying for the hazardous materials endorsement on their commercial driver's license (CDL).

Entry-Level Driver Training (Hazmat Endorsement): Basic Introductory and Operational Hazardous Materials Requirements is designed to teach drivers the basic competencies for transportation of hazmat, including: shipping paper requirements, marking, labeling, placarding, emergency response information, and shipper's responsibilities.

Objectives

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

  • Discuss the importance of the Hazardous Materials Table and the information the Table contains
  • Describe the information contained in shipping papers and where to store shipping papers during the transportation of hazardous materials
