Intended Audience: Drivers who are applying for the hazardous materials endorsement on their commercial driver's license (CDL).
Course Disclaimer: All drivers that operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) should be aware of the possibility that a fire could occur, and they should know how to respond. Drivers that operate cargo tanks need to be aware of general operating procedures when loading and unloading.
Entry-Level Driver Training (Hazmat Endorsement): Operating Emergency Equipment is designed to help drivers understand the special precautions for fires, loading and unloading, operation of cargo tank motor vehicle equipment, and shut-off-shut-down equipment.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

- Discuss how to put out different types of vehicle fires
- Discuss how to safely perform loading and unloading operations on a cargo tank
