Intended Audience: Drivers who are applying for the hazardous materials endorsement on their commercial driver's license (CDL).
Course Disclaimer: Tires are the only part of the vehicle that has direct contact with the road, which makes them a critical component for safe driving. Tires also directly affect a vehicle's handling, ride, and braking capabilities. Checking tires on a regular basis is not only a requirement when transporting hazardous materials (hazmat), it can also prevent drivers from being stranded on the side of the road.
