Course Disclaimer: For obvious reasons, placarded vehicles can't always take the same route that other vehicles can take when driving from one point to another.
Entry-Level Driver Training (Hazmat Endorsement): Routes and Route Planning is designed to help drivers properly plan a route when transporting hazardous materials (hazmat).
Objectives
After completing this course, learners will be able to:
- Discuss areas which must be avoided when driving placarded hazardous materials
- List items which must be contained in a route plan
- Describe where to find a listing of all designated and restricted roads and preferred highway routes for the transportation of radioactive and non-radioactive hazardous materials
