Entry-Level Driver Training (Passenger Endorsement): Pre-Trip, Enroute, Post-Trip Inspection
Course Length: 38 minutes
Intended Audience: Drivers who are applying for an initial commercial driver's license (CDL) or drivers upgrading their current CDL.
Overview: As much as your vehicle's manufacturer and your maintenance department might do to prevent your bus or motorcoach from breaking down, you, as the captain of the ship, play a critical role. Federal regulations and common sense require you to inspect your vehicle several times each day. You must look for defects, violations, or even "small" problems or concerns that might worsen into major issues. Those issues may leave you and your passengers stranded on the road, or worse yet, involved in a crash or other catastrophe. The importance of daily vehicle inspections cannot be overstated.
Entry-Level Driver Training (Passenger Endorsement): Pre-Trip, Enroute, Post-Trip Inspection is designed to help learners understand the importance of pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections; and provide instruction in techniques for conducting such inspections as stated in §392.7 and §396.11.
