Entry-Level Driver Training (Passenger Endorsement): Security and Crime
Course Length: 14 minutes
Intended Audience: Drivers who are applying for an initial commercial driver's license (CDL) or drivers upgrading their current CDL.
Overview: As the captain of your ship, you are responsible for the safety and security of yourself, your vehicle, and your passengers. Your travels as a bus driver will put you in contact with a variety of people, locations, and situations, and not all of them may be pleasant or safe. In fact, you and your passengers may even become the targets of criminal activity that puts your physical safety at risk.
Entry-Level Driver Training (Passenger Endorsement): Security and Crime is designed to teach you basic techniques for recognizing and minimizing physical risks from criminal activity.
Objectives:
After completing this course, learners will be able to:
- Discuss ways you can discourage criminal activity on or around your vehicle
- Recognize criminal activity on or around your vehicle
- Recognize physical threats due to criminal activities
- Explain how to respond to and minimize criminally-related threats
