Entry-Level Driver Training (Passenger Endorsement): Distracted Driving
Course Length: 9 minutes
Intended Audience: Drivers who are applying for an initial commercial driver's license (CDL) or drivers upgrading their current CDL.
Overview: Distracted driving is deadly. Thousands of lives are lost, and hundreds of thousands of people are injured, on American highways each year due to distracted drivers. Whenever driver turns their attention away from the task of safe driving, they are distracted and putting lives at risk.
The driver also puts their career in jeopardy, because federal regulations say that certain distracting activities are prohibited and can result in fines and even the loss of driving privileges. In this module, the learner will learn about those regulations and the serious consequences of driving while distracted.
Entry-Level Driver Training (Passenger Endorsement): Distracted Driving is designed to help drivers recognize and manage distractions while on the road.
