Overview:
Successfully backing a vehicle requires skill, practice, patience, and good judgment. Improper or inattentive backing can result in lost time, additional paperwork, and damage to vehicles, buildings, or other equipment.
Non-CDL Driver Training: Backing and Parking is designed to help CMV drivers the proper procedures for backing and parking.
Objectives:
After completing this training, learners will be able to:
- Describe how to safely back your vehicle
- Explain how to safely park your vehicle
- Explain additional precautions to take when backing in loading docks and parking lots
