Entry-Level Driver Training (School Bus Endorsement): Emergency Exit and Evacuation
Course Length: 30 minutes
Intended Audience: School bus drivers who are applying for an initial commercial driver's license (CDL) or drivers upgrading their current CDL.
Overview: No matter how careful a driver you are, if you drive long enough, you'll face an emergency situation that requires your bus to be evacuated. It could be due to getting stuck on a set of railroad tracks, a tire erupting in flames, or the vehicle breaking down in an unsafe location. Whatever the situation, an emergency evacuation requires advance planning, preparation, and a cool head.
Entry-Level Driver Training (School Bus Endorsement): Emergency Exit and Evacuation is designed to teach about your role in safely evacuating a school bus in an emergency, whether on a bus route or an extracurricular trip.
