Entry-Level Driver Training (School Bus Endorsement): Pre and Post-Trip Inspections

Course Length: 29 minutes

Intended Audience: School bus drivers who are applying for an initial commercial driver's license (CDL) or drivers upgrading their current CDL.

Overview: As a school bus driver, students will be counting on you to deliver them safely to and from school and other locations. Even with perfect driving skills, however, you won't be able to accomplish that task if your bus breaks down. Safe driving begins with a safe vehicle, and you will play a critical role in making sure your vehicle is in safe operating condition at all times. To that end, regulations require you to inspect your vehicle several times each day to look for any defects that might affect its safe operation. These daily inspections are critical to the safety of your passengers, yourself, and the motoring public.

Entry-Level Driver Training (School Bus Endorsement): Pre and Post-Trip Inspections is designed to help you learn how to conduct all required inspections to help ensure that your vehicle continues to operate safely and smoothly.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

  • Discuss the importance of daily vehicle inspections
