Reasonable Suspicion Training: Responding to Out-of-Scope Suspicion
Course Length: 10 Minutes English/12 Minutes Spanish
Video Runtime: 6:59 English/8:47 Spanish
Overview: Carriers with drivers who require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) need driver supervisors who are trained on alcohol misuse and drug use. They must be familiar with signs of probable misuse. This is an important first step in keeping unsafe, impaired drivers off the road. The Reasonable Suspicion Training curriculum is designed to help learners understand when a driver may be sent for testing and what to do after testing is required.
There may be times when fellow co-workers or customers express their concerns about a driver's possible impairment. It's important that qualified driver supervisors are available to make observations and determine if suspicion exists.
Reasonable Suspicion Training: Responding to Out-of-Scope Suspicion is designed to help driver supervisors understand how they should respond to situations that are not covered by reasonable suspicion regulations.
