Overview:
A professional driver must have a good understanding of basic vehicle controls. These controls set the foundation for future lessons and daily operation of a CMV.
Non-CDL Driver Training: Basic Controls is designed to help CMV drivers understand basic vehicle controls and maneuvers.
Objectives:
After completing this course, learners will be able to:
- Discuss how to start up and shut down your vehicle’s engine
- Describe how to put your vehicle in motion and come to a complete stop
- Identify ways to maneuver through turns, curves, and roundabouts, and enter/exit highways safely
