Canada Driver Training: Carrier Profiles
Course Length: 15 Minutes
Overview: Commercial motor companies in Canada have to keep a Carrier Profile. It is their on-road performance record. It includes records from all the areas where the carrier and its drivers operate.
The carrier profile allows the National Safety Code (NSC) administrators to monitor how well the company is doing. There are certain rules under NSC Standard 7 that the company needs to follow to operate their commercial vehicles. If they do not meet these standards, they may face audits, investigations, or even lose their license to operate.
It is important drivers understand the information monitored in the profile so they can help maintain these standards. This also helps keep all drivers on the road safer.
Canada Driver Training: Carrier Profiles is designed to teach commercial drivers how the Carrier Profile system works and the impact they have on it.
